Textbooks

For the bachelor level, in line with keeping student costs down we provide extensive study notes1, but usually have at least one set textbook that we usually mandate for its particular module or modules.  Prices for new set books tend to average about £60-100 per year – perhaps you can extend the blessing to a local Christian bookshop?!  While these books can often be borrowed from a local library (perhaps try the www.evangelical-library.org.uk), those we list should prove useful for many years to come, so we would encourage you buying them.  Stinting on the right kind of books can be bad for theology – sometimes to pay a bit more is to learn a lot more, but link zeal with wisdom: God commends both together.

To help those starting Year 1, we offer a free copy of the African Bible Commentary (Zondervan) the New Bible Commentary (IVP).
